He is believed to be an incarnation of the Irish god Lugh, who is also his father.

Archer, someone with significantly lower speed and comparable EotM, sees backing away from Gae Bolg as a legitimate means to counter the activation of it for him. Henshin! Diarmuid has always been a super diet Cu. Cu even with a ton of nerfs on himself was taking on Saber Arturia, swatting Archer Emiya and straight up bullying Assassin Hassan until Sakura interfered. Without nerfs he's a top tier servant and one of the most lethal and artillery abusive in all of Fate.
