Sencelles recalls each year the anniversary of the death of Sor Francinaina (1781-1855), who was beatified in 1989 and named, in 2011, patron saint of the catechists of Mallorca by the Vatican.A religious trade is held during the morning, accompanied by the ball de l'ofrena, a dance of simple movements to the sound of the melodies of thexeremies, (musical instrument similar to bagpipes).

Beata Francinaina Cirer Carbonell passed away from a stroke on 27 February 1855 with her funeral attended by a huge number of devotees. She is wellknown in Sencelles (mallorca) as «Aunt Xiroia» the family nickname.. When she was 70 years old, togheter with 2 more nuns, she founded 1851, the comunity of the sisters of charity of San Vicente de Paul.
