Found this earlier, it's really handy for laying out base design mockups, for example, here's one I put together to try and organise the layout a bit: Not that this was the point of this thread, but I recommend switching your workshops with one of the inside stockpiles. That way the stock piles are on average closer.

@C.C TF2 I have similar base layout, I call it open fortess, but I'm using outer walls and sandbags (will try a new base with fence mods), and it's more than enough for my 10 man colony to keep high number (~50 enemies) low quality raids and 'elit' raiders (3-7 centipedes + 5-12 scyters) in check without any meaningful losses - sometimes a few limbs, but nothing more - in unlucky cases I load.
